Physie is the perfect combination of movements designed to increase core strength, fitness and flexibility. The benefits include; increased co-ordination, brain development and confidence.

Physie is an excellent team based sport, incorporating dance and aerobic activity, that's social and fun.

There is an aura of confidence around Physie girls of all ages. Taught to stand tall, with strength and pride, they are team players committed to achieving their goals.

The Peninsula Physie Club Inc. has been teaching physie to girls and ladies of all ages for 28 years. Established in 1997, we pride ourselves on being a successful, family orientated and friendly dance school. Come and visit us in our NEW STUDIO at Warriewood, just off Mona Vale Road, on Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches.

We offer classes for girls from preschool age of 3 years to ladies over 80, whether you are a beginner or experienced.

 

Throughout the year we have Concerts, Royal Easter Show performances, Competitions, Day Camps, Workshops, Masterclasses, Physiathons, BBQ fundraisers and celebration dinners. It's a great way to socialise and make new friends!​

 

We are affiliated with Bjelke-Petersen School of Physical Culture, known as BJP Physie.  http://physicalculture.com.au/ who have been keeping Australians fit and healthy for 130 years.

Julie Pond

(9 yrs - Ladies)

​

Julie is a passionate and committed dance professional and has been teaching Physie for over 35 years and competed in Physie for over 40 years. Prior to establishing The Peninsula Physie Club in 1997, Julie opened, managed and taught at 3 other Sydney clubs.

​

Many PPC girls and Ladies have achieved National winning places from 1st to 5th under Julie's professional and experienced teaching.

​

Julie started Physie at the age of six and knew then that it would always be a special part of her life! She has competed in many Champion Girl and team competitions gaining many places as well as National achievements.

​

Julie now concentrates on teaching and managing PPC, passing on her love for Physie and all the associated lifetime benefits to her students.

Charlotte Pond & Lucinda Pond

(Tiny Dancers - 16 yrs)

​

Charlotte and Lucinda are dedicated, passionate, skilled teachers, who have taught for the past 8 years at Peninsula Physie Inc.

​

Charlotte and Lucinda uphold a very successful physie career, gaining 14 National places between them and having competed at the Sydney Opera House National Finals for the past 8 years. Lucinda also gained 2nd place in the most Elite section of GRAND in 2023 and Charlotte gained 5th place. They have also represented Peninsula club in many winning and placing Championship teams! 

​

These gifted teachers are passionately committed to inspiring our younger generation of dancers to achieve their full potential with confidence. 

​

Charlotte and Lucinda teach the Tiny Dancers and 5-8 years, as well as assist with teaching the 9-16 years advanced skills. They have both just completed a BACHELOR of DANCE and PDHPE EDUCATION.
